Dr Rebecca Pope is a Clinical Neuroscientist and a Director of Data Science & Engineering at KPMG UK, who specialises in the use of artificial intelligence within healthcare. Rebecca is passionate about the successful development and deployment of predictive analytics to improve health and social care, and was invited to present her ideas at a TEDx talk ‘Pushing the Boundaries: How can Artificial Intelligence help our NHS & should we be concerned?’ . She has co-authored KPMG Thought Leadership centered on privacy, security and the reliability of genomics data ‘Driving value from genomics: Rising to the data challenge’ and on NHS data, AI and public opinion ‘The Industrial Strategy: How the UK can win the Global AI race’. Rebecca has published a number of academic research papers, written several scientific commentaries in The Times and The Guardian, and is the recipient of National awards for her research; holding an honorary post-doctorate position at University College London. Recently, she was voted as one of ‘The Most Influential Women in UK Tech’ and is currently on voluntary secondment (1d/wk) as Great Ormond Street Hospital’s Data Science Strategy Lead.
